Detergents containing bleach are suitable for cleaning white flame-retardant window screens, but should not be used on colored screens to prevent discoloration. When cleaning white flame-retardant window screens, avoid using detergents with chlorine-based bleach; instead, opt for detergents containing oxygen-based bleach to enhance cleaning performance while protecting the linen fibers.
2. The quality of water used to wash flame-retardant linen curtains is crucial.
Washing flame-retardant linen window screens also requires water. If the water hardness is too high (i.e., the water contains a high lime content), you’ll need to add a fabric softener—especially when washing dark-colored linen fabrics. Linen has excellent water absorption, so you should increase the amount of water used appropriately during washing. As for water temperature, follow the instructions on the care label attached to the garment; excessively high water temperatures could damage the fabric.
